From Ring Pops to Forever

We truly believe our story is the perfect reminder that what is meant for you will never miss you. We first met as teenagers in the most unexpected setting—a job interview at the arcade where we both worked. Kellyanne was a party host and professional clown, hired that night to quite literally clown around during the interviews, while Luis arrived looking as dapper as ever in a full suit. When asked what made him stand out, he moonwalked his way into Kellyanne’s memory—and, as it turns out, into her future. What began as a playful friendship built on laughter, flirtation, and years of showing up for one another quietly grew into something deeper. Through heartbreaks, milestones, family moments, and every version of ourselves as we grew up, we somehow always remained in each other’s orbit. The funniest part is that, even back then, our clown characters had a bit where Luis’s character would “propose” to Kellyanne’s with a Ring Pop. Looking back now, it feels like life was foreshadowing our forever all along. It wasn’t until the end of 2020 that God’s timing made everything clear. When Kellyanne returned from Colorado, Luis was there waiting at the airport with flowers in hand, and in that moment, what had once felt familiar suddenly felt different. Safe. Certain. Like home. From there, our love story unfolded in the most beautiful way—through Colorado visits, USC business school, the Stamford Firefighter Academy, business ventures, career milestones, world travel, baptism, dog-parent life with Oliver and Sadie, and every joy and challenge that taught us how to grow together instead of apart. At the center of it all has been what matters most: God, friendship, community, and the daily choice to keep showing up for one another. Our relationship has always been rooted in laughter, loyalty, and the kind of friendship that makes even the quietest moments feel special. We truly believe the strongest marriages begin as friendships, and that foundation has carried us through every season. Rosas Club is more than a name—it’s the life we’ve built together: a story rooted in faith, playfulness, unwavering support, and choosing each other every single day.And now, after all these years, forever starts here. Daniel is my cousin, and honestly, he played a big role in me becoming the man I am today—and even in Kelly and me being here. When I was going through my first job interview, he showed up and interviewed too, just to support me. That moment stuck with me. Since then, our bond has only grown stronger. He’s always believed in me, and he saw something in Kelly and me early on—he always said she’d be the one. He’s more than family—he’s someone I trust completely.


Daniel Borrero

Terrance and I met through basketball—my second year, his first—but what started on the court turned into something much deeper. We didn’t have the biggest support systems, so we became that for each other. Whether it was school, life, or just needing someone to laugh with, we always showed up. What started as teammates turned into brotherhood, and I’m grateful for that every day.

Malcolm has been like the big brother I never had. He’s looked out for me in ways I’ll never forget—whether it was helping me get my first car, supporting me financially when I needed it, or pushing me to chase my dreams. He didn’t have to do any of that, but he did. Our relationship goes way beyond family—he’s my brother, and I’m blessed to have him in my life.

Luis’s goddaughters and two of the most special little girls in our lives, Dream and Layla bring so much love, joy, and personality wherever they go, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to take on the very important role of keeping our rings safe as we step into this next chapter together.

Our room block and RSVP period have now officially closed. To ensure we can honor our commitments with the resort and our wedding vendors, only guests who reserved accommodations through our contracted room block will be able to participate in our wedding weekend celebrations. We are so excited to celebrate with you in paradise! Thank you to everyone who reserved their accommodations within our wedding room block. The information below will help you prepare for your trip. Passport Requirements:A valid passport is required for all guests traveling, including adults, children, and infants. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. If your passport expires sooner, we strongly recommend renewing it before traveling. Flight Planning:We recommend booking flights into Cancún International Airport (CUN). SLS Playa Mujeres is approximately 35–40 minutes from the airport. For the most relaxing experience, we recommend arriving on Thursday, so you have time to settle in, enjoy the resort, and kick off the wedding weekend with us. Airport Transportation:Uber is available between Cancún International Airport and the resort. Guests who prefer to travel with other wedding guests may also arrange shared round-trip transportation through Paradise Weddings for $85 per person. Special Requests:Room requests are always welcome and are subject to availability upon arrival. While the resort cannot guarantee specific requests, it will do its very best to accommodate them whenever possible.
